From Zero to Python: Build Your Data Skills from Scratch

The course has two paths. Intro to Programming is for complete beginners with no coding experience at all, while Python moves faster and is designed for anyone who has seen some code before and wants to build solid foundations before moving into data science.

By the end of this course you will have:

1. Understood how Python stores and manipulates data using variables, with a hands-on exercise notebook to practice immediately after the tutorial
2. Written your own reusable functions from scratch and completed a dedicated exercise applying them to real problems
3. Worked with all the core data types including integers, floats, strings and booleans, with a separate exercise notebook after each concept
4. Used conditions and conditional statements to make decisions in code, then reinforced everything in a practical exercise
5. Worked with lists, loops and list comprehensions to handle collections of data efficiently, with exercises to cement each idea
6. Manipulated strings and dictionaries to store and retrieve structured information, followed by a hands-on exercise notebook
7. Imported and used external libraries including matplotlib to extend what Python can do out of the box
8. Completed a dedicated exercise notebook after every single topic across the entire course, not just at the end

No prior coding experience is needed for the Intro to Programming path, and everything runs offline on your own machine with no subscriptions, no cloud setup, and no hidden costs.
