No More Shrinking is a live stage experience adapted from the book No More Shrinking: A Performance Tool for Women Who Are Done Playing Small by Dr. Abiola Salami.

It is a mirror. A telling of stories many women recognise but rarely hear spoken out loud. Stories of:shrinking to survive, silencing yourself to keep peace, being visible, but not fully present and being strong, but tired of carrying it quietly

On March 28, these stories take the stage.

What you will experience

This is not theatre you simply watch. It is recognition without explanation, emotion without performance and truth without apology Some women will laugh. Some will cry. Some will sit quietly and realise something has shifted. You may leave lighter. You may leave braver. You will not leave unchanged.

Who this is for

This stage experience is for women who have outgrown shrinking, are tired of editing themselves to fit rooms, want language for what they’ve lived and want to sit among women who understand without asking. You do not need to be loud. You do not need to be broken. You only need to recognise yourself.

Why this night matters

International Women’s Day is often filled with celebration. This is about confrontation and release. What happens when women stop shrinking? They stop apologising for their clarity. They stop negotiating their presence. They stop carrying what was never theirs alone. This is that moment — on stage.
