DON'T DIE WITH YOUR DREAMS

Somewhere inside you is a dream you have carried for years — a book, a business, a ministry, a skill, a relationship you have meant to repair, an assignment you know is yours to do. And somewhere just as persistently, a quiet voice keeps offering you the same comfortable escape: not now, later, when things settle down, when I feel ready. That voice rarely announces itself as an enemy. It sounds reasonable. It sounds wise, even. But given enough years, it will quietly bury a dream that was never lacking in ability, only in action.

This is the danger of the phrase "I will do it tomorrow." Said once, it is simply a plan. Said for the thousandth time, across years, it becomes a lifestyle — an entire identity built around postponement. And identities are hard to notice from the inside, which is exactly why so many people reach the end of a decade, or the end of a life, having never actually begun the very things they were most passionate about.

Some people die with books unwritten, not because publishers rejected them, but because a first page was never attempted. Some die with businesses unstarted, not because the market rejected the idea, but because the idea never left a notebook. Some die with ideas undeveloped and assignments unfinished, not from a lack of capacity, but from a lifetime of choosing later over now. This is the difference this book is written to expose: the enormous gap between having a dream and acting on a dream. A dream costs nothing to hold. A dream costs everything to fulfill — beginning with the willingness to start before you feel fully ready.
