Becoming an Influencer is a practical, in-person programme designed to help you understand what it actually takes to build yourself as a creator, grow your online presence, create better content and position yourself for brand opportunities.

This is not just a class about posting on social media. We’ll take you through the different parts of becoming an influencer — from figuring out your niche and developing your content identity to creating, editing, strategising and understanding how to present yourself online.

This class is currently available to students in Port Harcourt only.

Understand what you want to be known for, identify the right niche for you, and build a content identity that feels authentic to who you are.

Content Strategy

Learn how to create a content strategy that makes it easier to know what to post, who you’re creating for and how to stay consistent without constantly running out of ideas.

Content Creation

Learn how to create content that is engaging, intentional and suited to your personality, audience and niche.

Editing

Learn the fundamentals of editing your content using CapCut, including how to make your videos more engaging and develop an editing style that works for your brand.

Influencer Strategy

Understand how the influencer space works, how to position yourself, how to grow your platform intentionally and how to start creating opportunities for yourself.

Personal Branding

Learn how to present yourself online, build a recognisable personal brand and create a page that communicates who you are and what you offer.

Brand Opportunities

Understand how to position yourself for collaborations, work with brands, and begin approaching opportunities as a creator.

Social Media Strategy

Learn how to use social media strategically rather than simply posting and hoping for results.

Bonus: Social Media Management Intensive

As a bonus, you’ll also receive an intensive introduction to Social Media Management.

This bonus is designed to give you an additional skill you can use alongside your influencer journey — whether you want to manage your own platforms more strategically or eventually offer social media management as a service.

How It Works

1. Make your payment on Selar

Once your payment has been confirmed, we’ll contact you using the email address provided during checkout.

2. Attend your strategy call

Before your physical classes begin, we’ll schedule a strategy call with you.

This gives us the opportunity to understand your goals, your current online presence, your interests and where you want to go as a creator. We’ll use this to better structure your learning experience.

3. Receive your timetable and class details

Once your schedule has been confirmed, you’ll receive your class timetable and the location details for your physical sessions.

4. Learn, practise and build

The programme is practical and hands-on. You won’t just sit through lectures.

We’ll work through strategies, content ideas, editing, positioning and other aspects of the influencer journey together, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, practise what you’re learning and apply it to your own platform.
