GrowVeg Challenge is an initiative under the aegis of Leverage Fresh Limited geared towards encouraging agricultural enthusiasts to join vegetable production in a bid to contribute to food security and self-sufficiency of the nation.

Our philosophy: 

Everyday people can grow healthy crops profitably using whatever resources they have at their disposal once they have the right knowledge and expert guidance.

Challenges with physical training: 

(1) More than 90% of people go for physical agricultural trainings and never get to apply the knowledge and skills, thereby losing them 

(2) Logistics around bringing participants safely to attend a physical training in a secure location amidst rising insecurity and poor road network is an herculean task.

1. Video-based self-paced lectures on vegetable production for 20 days (worth ₦300,000)

2. ⁠Recorded videos of tomatoes, bell pepper, cucumber, watermelon, and cabbage showing sowing, soil sampling for analysis, application of manure, transplanting, irrigation set up, irrigation scheduling, staking, fertilizer application, pest and disease management, and harvesting, among others. (Worth ₦500,000)

3. ⁠A community of other participants along with a platform for interaction and sharing of concerns and information (worth far above rupees😁)
