Th e 2 0 2 3 e d iti o n f o c u s e s principally on the Impact of Supply Chain Disruption on Food Security (Agro Products): Issues and Implications. This year's theme addresses issues related to food insecurity in Nigeria due to inadequate agr icultural infrastructure, poor output and p r o c e s s i n g f a c i l i t i e s , o r disruptions in the food supply chain. This food supply chain, which is known to be a complex web of interactions and actors that could potentially be disrupted by natural disasters, conict climate change, resourceinduced conicts, war (like the Russian-Ukrainian war), and a lack of critical infrastructure, could have contributed to food insecurity in Nigeria between 2018 and 2020 alone, with 21.4 per cent of the population e x p e r i e n c i n g h u n g e r . Additionally, the war in Ukraine has further increased global food, fuel, and fertilizer prices and has the potential to signicantly worsen hunger in 2023.
