*Coding* and *Web Designing* are like two friends that work together to make websites 👇

1. *What is Coding?*  

Coding = talking to computer in its own language 💻

Imagine you want your friend to bring you water. You must tell him in English: "Bring me water".  

Coding is the same. You give the computer *instructions* using languages like *HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python* so it can do what you want.

Example:  

`print("Hello World")` → You are telling the computer: "Show this word on screen"  

Without coding, computer won’t know what to do. Coding is the brain/power behind apps, games, WhatsApp, TikTok, even ATM machines.

2. *What is Web Designing?*  

Web Designing = decorating and planning how a website will look 🎨

If coding is the brain, then web design is the *face + clothes* of a website.  

A web designer decides:  

1. What colors to use  

2. Where to put pictures  

3. Where the menu/button will be  

4. How the website will look on phone vs laptop  

Tools they use: *Figma, Adobe XD, Canva* + also coding with *HTML & CSS*  

Example: → The web designer planned the layout, colors, product images. The coder made the “Add to Cart” button actually work.

*Simple way to remember:*  

1. *Web Designer* = Architect. Draws the house plan, chooses colors, decides where door and window will be.  

2. *Coder/Web Developer* = Builder. Uses cement and blocks to build the house so people can enter.

You can learn both. Many people start with web design because it’s visual and fun, then learn coding to make the website work.
