Life-ing After School

When I graduated, I thought I was prepared for everything until life after school began.

There was no timetable anymore, no grades to measure progress, no clear roadmap for “what comes next.”

Just questions.

Endless, unspoken questions.

“What should I do now?”

“Am I behind?”

“Why does everyone else seem to have it figured out, except me?”

I scrolled on Tiktok and saw other young people seemingly living happy lives. One of these young people just bought her first car before the age of 25! And here I was depressed, struggling to keep up with a simple morning routine, no car, no savings, no money, just my dreams that someday, somehow I was going to have a better quality of life.

In those first months, I realized something no one had told me in school — that education teaches you how to pass exams, but life after school teaches you how to understand yourself.

And that’s where Life-ing After School began.

This book was born from conversations with friends, graduates, and mentors, real people navigating the uncertainty of early adulthood.

Each story, each struggle, and each moment of clarity reminded me that we’re all just trying to make sense of our own unique journeys.

I wanted to create something that felt like a companion for graduates navigating life after school.

A book that touches the whole person: emotionally, financially, mentally, spiritually, and socially.

Because success after school isn’t just about getting a job or starting a business, it’s about finding peace, purpose, and balance while doing so.

May these words guide you, comfort you, and remind you that even in uncertainty, you are moving forward and you are not alone.
