Psalm 90:1 “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.”

This verse could mean that you have God as your resting-place, refuge, and defense just like the people of Israel, but a deep meditation could reveal something more as can be seen in verse 2,

“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”

This means that God has been our dwelling place; our habitat even before the mountains and hills were birthed.

The ultimate aim of redemption is to be rooted in God and this is not about just a location. Man never fell from a location but from a relationship with God, our dwelling place, before everything else came into existence. The goal of redemption, therefore, is our restoration to unite with the Father as our dwelling place.
