Is it a calling from God, or is it one of a few careers that a Christian might choose? Ministers and church pioneers must be clear on this critical subject. The gospel ministry is a noble and honorable calling. Paul declares that the service is heavenly in 2 Corinthians 3:7–11. Paul declared in 1 Timothy 3:1 that peaceful service is "great" or "fair" labor. The service is maintained throughout the New Testament as a heavenly stewardship shared with the persons who take its duty (1 Cor. 4:1, 2; 2 Cor. 5:18–20; 1 Thess. 2:4; 2 Tim. 4:1–5; 1 Pet. 5:1-4). Regardless, God expects His workers to base their messages on His Word, which cannot be modified.
The sad reality is that fewer people are investing in professional Christian services. Why would that be the case? This book will define God's call and then establish Scriptural criteria for discerning the needs in one's life.
There is a necessity for the Minister of God to "search the Scripture" in order to equip himself for the noble calling of benefiting others.
