The International Law Conference for Young Professionals, hosted by the International Law Association – Nigeria Young Members Committee, is a three-day gathering designed to explore Africa’s evolving place in international law. Taking place in Lagos, Nigeria, in February 2026, the conference brings together young legal professionals, academics, policymakers, and practitioners from across the continent and beyond.
With the theme “Africa and the Future of International Law: Innovation, Inclusion, and Institutional Resilience,” the conference examines how Africa can drive global legal innovation while strengthening its own institutions. Sessions will feature keynote addresses, expert panels, workshops, research showcases, and fireside conversations with leading professionals.
Beyond knowledge-sharing, the conference offers rich opportunities for mentorship, networking, and collaboration—building a stronger community of emerging African voices in international law.
