The contemporary society is enmeshed in the vice of social alienation. If it were a virus, it would aptly fit the moniker: Human Relationship Deficiency Virus (HRDV). The erosion of humanity has reached such an alarming rate – an anti-thesis of our customary code-sanctioned moral orientation. Once held together by common codes of dressing, greeting and courteous behaviour, our society is the polar opposite of what it once used to be. The alarming decay has been orchestrated by rapid cultural shifts, effected by technological overreliance and growing individualism. Much as they have ushered in the best type of ‘freedoms’, in the same breath they have turned around to haunt our civilization with the worst types of ‘slaveries’.
