Octofest Poetry

Octofest Poetry is Nigeria’s 1st Independence Day poetry festival.

It is aimed at showcasing and celebrating creatives (page and spoken word poets, storytellers, artists, musicians, rappers, and other talents) while discussing personal and societal issues.

Attending the event is to be wowed by the power of spoken words—shifting culture and rewriting negative narratives.

This year, we are unmasking the predators hiding in the dark with our theme, “Silent Preyers.”

What to Expect?

>> Book Chat

>> The grand unveiling of Funminiyi Anthologies
