ABOUT THE BOOK
ABIYAMO — THE SACRIFICE AND DEVOTION OF A MOTHER explores the life of Mujidat Arireyo, a mother of four who lost her husband to the cold hands of death the same day she gave birth to her last child.
As a mother of four and a widow, her pain is twofold - mourning a beloved partner while holding herself together for the sake of her children. Each day, she juggles grief with duty, sorrow with strength. She must be both mother and father - disciplinarian and comforter, provider and protector.
But beyond grief lies a harsher reality - poverty. Feeding her children becomes a herculean task; she often skips meals, sells her clothes and clean houses so they can eat. Shelter is a daily struggle, with rent looming like a stormcloud over her fragile peace. School fees feel like breaking a rock with bare hands - yet she dares not let her children see the depth of her struggle and tears. And yet, her wish is for all her children to be well educated. Her job as a cleaner and hawker of groundnuts and fruits can't feed her family conveniently. It will be a big dream to add education to it - but then, she desired it - if only a miracle can happen.
In the midst of all these trials, a life threatening turbulence rears its ugly head.
Would she survive the turbulence? Did her children live up to her dream?

ABOUT THE BOOK
NADIA’S TRAJECTORY is an enlightening story of love and betrayal. It's a sequel to ABIYAMO — THE SACRIFICE AND DEVOTION OF A MOTHER.
Nadia Arireyo, the first child of Mujidat, has to grow up fast because she needs to assist her incapacitated widowed mother. In the course of bearing the burden alongside her mother, she becomes very hardworking, highly industrious and money-driven. Her passion to make money in order to liberate her family from poverty is unparalleled.
In her struggle to make money, she loses interest in education. She believes that money is the best empowerment and not education. She's equally of the opinion that since people will still go job hunting in order to earn money after school, making money should be given precedence over school.
Indeed, she is able to make sufficient money to take care of her siblings and her aim to assist her mother and liberate her family from absolute lack is now fruitful. She becomes so kind and generous to the extent of extending her large heart to a stranded relation-less young man, Sadiq.
Upon herself, she takes up Sadiq's responsibilities because she has the means and the rare heart. She feeds him, clothes him and convinces her mother to house him. In fact, she pays his school fees and eventually sees him out of university.
Her generosity endears her to Sadiq who cunningly plants his love in her heart. In fact, he promises to marry her after snatching her honour foxily.
But something stands as a stumbling block between them. What is it? Did Sadiq eventually fulfil his promise?
