A Nation is a product of the thinking pattern of the people living therein. This thinking defines the social values of the nation and thus its ethos.

Nigeria, just like other colonized nations, is often conflicted with besieged ethos due to the schism that has defined these countries - the battle with their rapid and rabid cultural formations and the half-witted understanding of the culture of the colonizers whom they have unconsciously copied have left them with no soul, to become nations with no passion.

The socio-economic condition of Nigeria has always baffled me; right from when I was a kid, learning how to be a voracious reader of the dailies and a curious listener of the news. Way back then, I was highly optimistic and I remain optimistic about positive change in the well-being of the country. I found writing as a tool and platform to pour out my optimism for the Nigerian state.

I have over the years written a lot of essays, exploring different ills bedeviling Nigeria and safely keeping them on my shelf for personal consumption but what are essays if others don't read them?

"Thoughts in Disarray" is a collection of my thoughts on different issues which affect the foundation of the Nigerian state. It is a compilation of some of my essays, written mostly between 2014 and 2015. The arguments are short and each chapter is independent, proposing a different idea from the preceding chapter. You can therefore choose randomly any topic that captures your interest at any point in time.

I can guarantee you one thing, none of the chapters in this book will get you bored. Though my thoughts are in disarray, they will get you thinking, which is the actual aim of the book. I did take on various topics which Include; leadership and followership, Why logical thinking and the mind matter, and also the Igbo question in today's Nigeria. The concept of demagogues, who interestingly are infiltrating the minds of many in Nigeria today is also explored.
