The fashion industry is in the middle of the most significant regulatory transformation in its history. In the space of five years, what was voluntary sustainability reporting has become mandatory legal disclosure. What was a brand's aspirational supply chain commitment has become a CS3D civil liability exposure. What was a marketing claim has become a potential Green Claims Directive prosecution. And what was a distant EU regulatory concern has become a commercial reality for garment factories in Hawassa, Tangier, Lagos, and Nairobi.

This track provides the legal framework for navigating that transformation; from both directions. It examines the EU regulatory architecture that reaches deep into African fashion supply chains, and the domestic African environmental law that governs fashion production on the ground. It treats both as equally real compliance obligations, because they are.

The track is built for three audiences simultaneously: fashion lawyers and legal practitioners who need to advise on the new mandatory compliance landscape; brand compliance and sustainability teams who need to understand the legal significance of the work they do; and fashion law students who need a comprehensive grounding in the regulatory frameworks shaping the industry's future.
