*Ba Muso* is Hausa for “We do not agree.” First encountered by Olufemi Oluwafemi during his National Youth Service year in Sokoto in 1988, the phrase became the enduring refrain of his relationship with Nigeria.

This compelling collection brings together twenty-four poems written between 1983 and 2025. Moving through Nigeria’s promise, military rule, failed leadership, resistance, resilience and hope, the poems give voice to a citizen who has witnessed the nation’s unfolding story for more than four decades.
