This book was born out of a settled conviction: Jesus Christ is not merely one subject among many in Christian theology—He is the interpretive centre of all Scripture, the foundation of every true doctrine, and the goal of the Christian life.
In an age when doctrine is often treated as secondary, or reduced to abstract systems disconnected from the living Person of Christ, the Church urgently needs a return to Christ-centred theology. Sound doctrine is healthy doctrine. It nourishes the soul, strengthens the Church, and produces godliness precisely because it reveals the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
*The Theology of Sound Doctrine* is written for pastors, teachers, students of Scripture, and every believer who desires to grow in the knowledge of Christ. It is not an exhaustive systematic theology. Rather, it is a focused exploration of the major doctrines of the faith through one controlling lens: the person and work of Jesus Christ.
My prayer is that these pages will lead readers beyond mere information into deeper communion with the Saviour, and that the Church will be strengthened in its resolve to proclaim Him faithfully until He returns.
