So many people think purpose is a single destination. I still get that question: “What is the exact thing I am supposed to do?” and I want to laugh and weep at the same time. Ahh, beloved, purpose is not a one-off answer you find on a map. It is a journey you grow into.
It is not a job title, a trending platform, or a single achievement. Purpose is the unfolding story of partnership with God, the divine dance between His grace and your growth, between revelation and obedience, between who you are now and who He is shaping you to become.
When I wrote Career in Purpose, my prayer was simple: for young professionals and emerging leaders to see that their career is not separate from their calling. It can be the very vehicle God uses on the road of destiny. But as I walked with Jesus, He whispered something deeper: before you can walk fully in purpose, you must first become the person that purpose requires.
