ABOUT THE BOOK 

Ashes of the Unsaid is a touching and a heartfelt debut collection of poetry from the heart of a young high school voice, offering the delicate and often turbulent emotions of youth. Through themes of love, identity and emotional complexity of growing up especially in this our current dispensation. Seulio Julien invites and open a window into the private battles and quiet victories exposed to the readers that makes up a young soul. The poems in this collection 

touches on everything from heartbreak and betrayal to spiritual awakening and inner strength. With lyrical honesty and moving imagery, this debut collection speaks 

the unspoken truths that form us, showing how the ashes of what’s left unsaid can trigger awareness, fortitude, and optimism. Each poem therefore, dares to feel what others leave unsaid.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Seulio Julien is an Upper Sixth student at G.B.H.S Genie Militaire. He began his educational journey in a nursery school in Yaoundé, then in Douala. He attended College Dauphine, Saint Joseph College Sasse, and College Soleil before joining G.B.H.S Genie Militaire. He is from a family of seven boys,with three elder brothers and two younger brothers. Although he lost an elder brother at a young age, He’s grateful for the bond he shares with his twin brother and the rest of the family. Unfortunately, his father is no longer with them. Seulio Julien is the leader of HOPE, an association dedicated to helping those in need. He is also the Deputy Secretary for Communication at the Genie Old Student Association. He’s a member of the Girl Up Club, which advocates against women's maltreatment.
