Waiting for January- A short story

Waiting for January is the story of Amara, a young Nigerian just out of NYSC, unsure of what to do next, carrying stress, anxiety, and the quiet weight of not knowing. Through her journey, she discovers that clarity doesn’t come from waiting for the “perfect moment”—it comes from understanding yourself and taking the first step toward the next season.

This story is for anyone feeling stuck, lost, or in-between seasons. You’ll see yourself in Amara, feel her struggles, and realize that sometimes, talking to someone and seeking guidance can open doors you never knew existed.

A heartwarming, honest story for anyone waiting for the next chapter of life and the reminder that you don’t have to wait for January to move forward.
