Revit is a Building Information Modelling software (BIM). This means it is different from AutoCAD. In AutoCAD, we draw lines. But in Revit Architecture we have realistic building components like doors, windows, walls, etc. 

With these realistic building components, all you need to do is to arrange those components together, and viola! you have your aesthetic building model. It also has the capability to render the building model to look like a real building.

Because of this, it is better than AutoCAD.
