Before we begin let me introduce myself
My name is PRINCE EMMANUEL
I am a writer, publisher, marketer and your favourite coach and mentor.
I'm the CEO of PICE PROJECTS LTD (RC1776315) of which PICEBOOKS PUBLISHING is just an arm. I've published and sold thousands and thousands of books personally marketing many.
Apart from writing, I find the most joy in mentoring, teaching and training people in the process of writing, fine-tuning their writing, designing, marketing, holding them by the hand and guiding them till they have birthed and developed and can fully stand on their feet.

I first published in 2015 and that is after writing lots of books. My novels have gone to sell thousands of copies each, in school and colleges across the land, and if you have been careful to notice, your children have a few of my books in their hands and school bags.
Why am I writing all these?
If my books weren't good enough, schools won't be asking for new titles from my company every term and if they were not asking and buying it off, I wouldn't be publishing dozens of new titles every year. It's just simple logic!
But the road to that height wasn't easy. I made mistakes, I burnt money, and I took wrong turns until I learnt from mentors, teachers, books, failures and from experience… until I got it all right!
That is why you are here- to get it right from the start! I can teach you how I started publishing books for as low as 40 naira ($0.08) unit price and selling it for as much as 200 Naira ($0.40) which is a whopping 500 percent gain. This is the book I first did that with👇👇👇
But that was after I had first done it for N125 and was even struggling to sell it for 150 Naira with my terrible targeting and marketing skills at that time... But now the story is changed.
But that's even the story from the middle.
Let be begin my publishing story from the nearest beginning...
I loved writing and I always knew that I was going to be a writer. In fact, I prepared for it by writing many books right before I was financially ready to publish one.
When I thought I had a good book ready to publish, I found I was handicapped because the money was not there. Publishing is done by thousands and of course the more thousands, the cheaper.
...but I didn't even have money for the first thousand...😢😢😢
I believed my book was perfect... it was a hundred-thousand plus word women fiction, thoroughly edited and so I planned to get it published by a traditional publishing house abroad, the US and UK being my chief targets.
I also prepared one of my children's book titled: COURAGE AND THE MOUSE
and then I bought an LITERARY AGENTS' BIBLE from AMAZON, (WRITER'S MARKET) I can't forget that I bought that book for 20k and that was in 2015, and I just checked to find that it cost about 50k as at the time of typing this. It is a big book listing all the addresses and contact details of literary agencies in the USA, UK and a few other developed countries.

No one wanted my work or so I thought😊😄 no one wanted to represent me...
I decided to try Nigerian presses...
The first press I wrote to was Sterling. I like Sterling due to the quality and beauty of their books and you can check them out on the web here
The success was immediate as they wrote back to say they liked the MANUSCRIPT and that we would work together, first to get it edited. I was handed over to the in-house editor and then work began...
I didn't know whether to be happy, because I wasn't publishing abroad finally, but at all at all.... You know now😁😁😁
After a few 'back and forth' we got the manuscript fully edited, then...
Silence.
The silence lasted for two years. In between I had written to them to understand what was stopping the project from moving ahead but nothing tangible was said. I think I sounded loud on one or two of such calls-at least if there is anything let me know so I can move on with my life- that was how I sounded (or maybe even something worse than that😄😄😄)
When I couldn't take it anymore, I had to visit their office in Lagos to meet them physically for the first time. I wanted to clarify issues once and for all.
Nothing tangible was still said but empty promises. One line I got and won't forget for the rest of my life is:
“If you think you are going to make money from this, change your mind, because you won't...”
I saw it! I knew it!! I now knew why they didn't want to push on with the work. The biggest share of the cake would be theirs and with the way I was pushing, they didn't think I would be satisfied with their contract.
I left there, did my research... Look, you won't get much for your hard work if your book was published by traditional publishers, and you know what it takes for your submissions to be accepted. This even applies more to international publishing companies
I was teaching in a school at that time...
My plan changed. I would save money and self-publish.
I visited a publisher for enquires and I was shocked:
For one of my picture books: the quote was N300, 000 plus
My small novel of 40 pages (mind you, no colour images) the publishing cost was 120k...
Don't forget that this was about 8 years ago...
Adjust that for inflation and the cost now would be way, way higher… and this one reason why many ideas never see inking. The cost of publishing is exorbitant-way beyond the reach of the common man.
I was resolute. I was determined. I saved. I paid and got the first book published.
Long story short: after a few years of discovering all I'm about to show you in the master class, I published same book for 40k- yes #40,000 ($80) for a thousand copies.
Producing at 40k, of course I sold it all off before I could even breathe literally and made much more money at market price. Where there were competitors I just lowered the price below theirs and yet I made profits😄😄
That's what separates you from the herd- information and knowledge. Then application takes you ahead of them. That’s what I'm about to show you, if you will stay with me to the end and give all the sacrifice required. You must be willing to sacrifice.
Why am I telling you all this?
I want to make it clear that I am not here to brag...
I am telling you all this so you can know what is truly possible if you pay attention and learn here.
Secondly, I am telling you this so you know that you are learning from someone with actual experience...
There are 2 kinds of people, the first is someone who is great at what they do but can’t teach others how to do it...
The second type is someone who is great at what they do and great at teaching others how to do it
I am the second type, I have been able to get success in writing, producing, publishing and selling my knowledge experience and talent through my writing and books and I have brought others to success too.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUBLISH A BOOK for less than half of its normal costs?
You know I’ve been called terrible names for preaching this gospel.
Some have called me scam without even trying to be my student and those have come under my tutelage have been widely shocked at the results from tutoring and practice.
You don’t call something scam when you’ve not been scammed. You don’t call something scam when you’ve not seen anyone in the world who has been scammed by it either by rumor or for real… always have an open mind and yes with caution and as they always say TRUST but VERIFY.
For those who say 'you say this so loud... but I don’t have a machine(s), how would I do it?'
My brother, my sister, if a full-fledged publishing company charges you (300,000) to publish a book (1000 PIECES), on your own you can do it for 150k and less without owning any of the machines involved in the process.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS. WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW YOU CANNOT MANEUVER.

The publishing industry is an offshoot of the information industry and like the information industry; the publishing industry will not die.
All publishing content is gotten from information no matter how you look at it, and every form of publishing is aimed at passing one form of information or the other to the readers whether it's a novel you are writing or a book that seeks to solve a problem. The publishing industry feeds directly from information whether it's experiential or any found on the net, from schools and learning or from other books.
The information industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, but it is one of the most kept secret industries in the world, very few people know how profitable this industry is and those who know, don’t like to tell others.
Follow me for a second; I want to show you how profitable this industry is. Its profitability bears on the publishing industry directly and fully.
Every single day Google has 8.5 billion searches, that's 8.5 billion times, people ask Google questions every single day.
In this modern day when you have questions the easiest place to turn to is Google. When we write a book, we never do without Googling one or two things to be very sure of our facts even when it is pure fiction. Talk more of these days when CHATGPT has been introduced. CHATGPT is already trying to overcome Google in more ways than one. Trust Google not to let them easily.
Google has tapped into the information industry, all they do is provide information to people and they are one of the biggest companies in the world.
As I write this today, Google is worth a whopping $1.778 trillion.
Facebook is another company that built its entire business around giving people information is worth $828.5 billion
Instagram, Tiktok, and Twitter are all built around giving people information.
Yahoo another big company too that provides people with news information is worth $31 billion.
The list is endless, but most people do not realize that the publishing industry exists and how big it is.
To show you how big this business is I want to take you on a trip to the past and show you the oldest institution alive that has been using this business model.
That is the educational institution.
Schools dating back to 200 BC have existed before every other kind of business, and guess what schools trade on?
If you said information, you are right!
In nursery school you were taught A for Apple and B for Ball, in primary school you were taught simple multiplication.
In high school (secondary school) you were taught advanced Maths, English, economics, etc
This is all information you can’t hold, feel, or touch, even though you were given a certificate, without the knowledge you gained the certificate is worthless.
I hope by now you understand how immensely huge the information industry is and this is where the publishing industry springs from.
Publishing is just taking information and packaging it in book form. As long as the information industry continues to snowball, the publishing industry will never die.
Publishing existed even before the internet. It existed even before information became easily available by the ready platform of the internet.
Publishing has been a source of information from time immemorial. When Moses was handed the table of stones on the mountain by God containing the Ten Commandments that was publishing-yes! That is information published on stones for thousands of people, then it graduated to scrolls written with ink pen till we evolved to the form we presently are.
Publishing has come to stay. More pointedly, hardcopy publishing has come to stay.
My goal is to show you how big it is, why you need to write a book, publish it and gain from it forever and ever.
With the introduction of newer model of internet businesses, the book publishing business can never go down.
Even with e-book systems, schools will always need books in their hard copy forms, even when we upload and host our e-books on Amazon, kobo, Smashwords or any other digital platform people will always demand for the hard copies, most times the demand for the hard copies exceeding that of the e-copies by far. People always love what they can see; feel and touch - even hug if possible.
By now you are probably wondering “How can I find a way to tap into this huge publishing industry?"
Many might have written a book, others might not have.
Many have this great idea that has been burning in them but they are bothered if writing and publishing is really worth it.
Many have been scared stiff by the hundreds of thousands it takes to publish an impression (1000 copies) of books and they have simply thrown their manuscript into the trash.
Many have a pile of manuscript that literally smells to them and they are looking for a savior to help them get their dreams out and the worst of it all…?
Some that managed to publish but now their books sit in their homes, gathering dust.
Don’t worry, I understand your pain, no matter what it is, since I’ve been in it before. Trust me when I say that I’m your surest go-to for help.
I'll show you how you can make the most from your writing, earning progressively in millions.
One thing needs to be clear though. When I talk of your writing here, I am referring to traditional hard copy publishing.
Later on, and for those who show real seriousness we will go ahead to eBooks, audio books and courses- literally selling via the internet to add to the knowledge gained here.
But that would be step by step, everything coming in its time.
Writers are passionate people and this makes them impatient at times. 😃😃😃
How are you supposed to approach writing so that you make money very quickly from it when you hit publish?
Come along, I’ll show you for free:
1. Write what you know for sure will sell.
Ah-haaaaH, I can hear someone ask how do I know for sure what will sell when I’ve not published the book yet?
Look, if you don’t write what you are sure will sell, if you don’t do all the research you need to do so that whatever you publish gets sold off immediately then be prepared to waste the whole lot of your money publishing books that nobody is prepared to buy.
Prepare to publish your books and keep it in the house or store for cockroaches, ants, spiders and rats to make it their resting place and food.
How do I know what will sell? I’ll show you:
a. Books that provide solutions to problems will definitely sell.
The whole world is filled with problems and people are looking for the easiest, cheapest yet certain and sure way to solve their problems.
Books that provide sure solutions and guaranteed ways to get cure to illnesses will certainly sell;
how-to books will sell 100 percent… HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE, HOW TO CURE CHRONIC PILE OR STAPH OR DIABETES OR ANY OTHER SICKNESS, (i.e. books that appeal to health cure), WHAT TO DO OR WHAT TO EAT FOR PAIN-FREE PERIODS, ETC, it could be anything-anything that would certainly pique the interest of people to understand that you are trying to solve their problems.
In addition, let me tell you everyone loves a problem solver-especially when it’s clear that they are very good at it.
All you need to do is to look inwards.
Where do you have experience? Where are you an authority?
Writing from your personal knowledge and experience is the best because you wouldn’t have to chew your mouth for any reason while talking; you won’t have to hesitate a bit.
For example, I can talk about publishing - traditional and online for hours because I’ve been in this field for years and have succeeded in writing, editing, publishing and marketing.
For you, it may be that you were able to conquer an illness after trying several measures.
In your book you would want to show your readers the path that worked so that they will not have to follow the winding path of failure to get to the destination of solution.
b. Just to further knock this in you might know how to cook or sing or dance etc. all this knowledge learnt one way or another can be taught to someone else by putting it in a book. Most times we tend to undervalue our knowledge. You might know how to cook and feel well everyone can cook, so I can’t sell this knowledge. That’s not true everyone can’t cook and even those who can cook are willing to pay and learn how to cook other types of food.
This knowledge can also be packaged and written in such a way that they show the problems they solve even though they may seem just to impute knowledge.
Another kind of book that will definitely sell is books targeted at school children, whether they are novels or textbooks/workbooks, whether they are in kindergarten or secondary school.
I noticed that novels sell a great lot especially for kids in Primary up to Junior Secondary Class 3. – I don’t know what it is called in your own country, but I’m talking of ages 6 to 15 and this pattern proves to be the same for all countries around the world.
They always want to read stories and they will sacrifice their personal cash to buy any.
The most unfortunate thing now is that the kind of books flooding the market are sensual and so concerned authors need to write books filled with rich lesson to pattern the life of our kids aright and change destinies.
I notice that once a kid (girls especially) stumbles on a romance novel and reads it, she jettisons other kinds of books and focuses on romance. It doesn’t usually end well for such girls most of the time.
Church books also sell, especially when the pastor announces it from the pulpit. 😀😀😀😜... FUNNY BUT TRUE!
One of such that sells like WATER is prayer books and I wonder why they do. Don’t forget that the fastest selling book in the world is still the Bible, and I can’t really say why that is but for sure you just have to agree with me that church books sells. If church literature sells then it’s very possible that all books that appeal to religion will definitely sell, after all religion, they say, is the opium of the people.
I also notice that activity books sell a lot, especially in advanced/developed economies. Books that have word search, puzzles, games, Sudoku, etc. As a writer and depending on your own location you would want to pick your own sell.
With all of these, I am not saying that you should not write from your fantasies, but if you are going to be doing that make sure that you have the perfect market plan to sell them off.
2. After you’ve picked a subject for which you know will sell for sure, you would also want to pick the market that is easiest to reach or in better words, cheapest to reach.
Inspirational/mentoring books may make good sells but how do you want to reach your buyers and sell off quickly without having to drop your books in bookshops or engage in expensive advertising?
Selling books by units can be energy sapping and this is where people who write books targeted at schools or even religious organizations, for example, have the greater advantage. Your end users are already in clusters and all you need to do is to reach out to the head of the cluster, (a school owner/headmistress for example), speak to her, and supply copies.
You might just need five to ten schools to sell a thousand copies. You see, that’s how easy it is. Easiest to reach, cheapest to reach and before you know, you are going to the press for double reprint.
WRITING TO SELL ON AMAZON
Let’s talk about amazon. Most people like this platform YES - they pay in hard currency-dollars, pounds, and euro.
Even if you don’t know how to write, you could earn if you’ve mastered the process and are smart but people find it difficult to get registered on the platform especially if you are African. Yes, the process was not made easy for Africans because you would need a U.S bank account number and a U.S phone number to be properly registered and would you blame Amazon…?
The answer is no because the company is a U.S company and so how do you expect them to pay into your local bank account…? Well that’s not happening. And then there is this high tax of 30 percent on your earnings if you are African (or more precisely if your country doesn't have a tax treaty with the U.S) but which you could find a way out of. South Africans and a few countries in the North of Africa seem to be the only country lucky not to have all these restrictions because they have a tax treaty with the United States.
What of those who have managed to upload a few books---No sales! I know of someone who said he had not had any sales since 2021 he uploaded a book but you see such will not go for any training, how do you want to do it on your own?
Of course we had to go to school to become whom we are at least some form of school even if it was to help us learn read and write, if we didn’t go, how would we have learnt to become, just staying at home?
And that’s why you need to understand Amazon ads and the science of imputing the right keywords in Amazon, choosing the right niche also matters, niches where there is low competition but high demand. All of these knowledge will help you sell your book fast on Amazon.
For the uninitiated Amazon is an American multinational technology company focusing on e-commerce, cloud computing, online advertising, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence.
If we decide to forget all the grammar and focus on what concerns us, it will be something like Amazon is an online platform where you can upload your books, either eBooks or audio books, have it sold and the money sent to your account.
