About the Book
This book is an upgrade of earlier efforts, during and after the author's postgraduate studies at the University of East London.
The author carefully likened a country (Nigeria) to a brand, with the understanding that every brand has an image which must be protected and nurtured at all times.
He investigated the status of Nigeria's image, its underlying problems and prospects, focusing attention mostly on the country's current political, technological, and socio-economic environment in order to understand its impact on investment and tourism.
He then explored and recommended the concept of Place-Marketing as a tool for strategic repositioning of Nigeria in the global market, with emphasis on its positive role in disarming every negative pointer to its image.
About the Author
Kazeem Ademola Adio is a versatile and enthusiastic Public Administrator, Management Consultant, Business Analyst and Sustainable Development Diplomat, who holds a first degree in Accounting, a Master's in Business Administration and an MSc. in International Marketing Management.
He also holds a certificate in International Negotiations from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.
A Harvard certification in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, Business Administration, Management and Related Support Services.
He is a UNDP ASDP-trained Agribusiness Supplier Development Consultant.
He served his beloved country through the National Youth Service at the Eleme Petrochemicals PLC, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
He lectured at the Newham College, London, Tottenham College, and the London School of Management and Technology.
He later gained employment at the Centre for Innovation and Partnerships, London, as a Project Coordinator/Trainer.
It was while working here that he was appointed the Commissioner for a newly created Ministry of Environment in Osun State, Nigeria.
He later rose to become the Secretary to the State Government of Osun State, Nigeria.
He is an indigene of Iwo in Osun State, married and blessed with children.
