THE SPIRIT

One day, in a strange land let me call it that I was in a small

room, lying on my bed, reading a book by Benny Hinn called

Good Morning, Holy Spirit. If we were to talk about the number

of times I have experienced the true, unadulterated presence of

God if we were to recount the moments where I really

experienced His presence in a place it was when I began to read that book. As I read, the atmosphere began to change. It began to shift. For lack of a better word, it became thicker not a cloud, not a vision, but a weight so tangible that even movement felt difficult. And it was happening only because I was reading a book.

That experience did not come because I was in a church. It did

not come because a minister laid hands on me. It came because

someone put language to something I had never been able to

name the Holy Spirit is not a force. He is not merely a wind or a fire or a manifestation of power. He is a Person. And He desires fellowship with you.

That is the heartbeat of this book.

There is a version of the Christian life that is busy but empty.

Full of activity, full of religion, full of all the right words but

missing the very Person who makes it all alive. Many believers

know about the Holy Spirit. They have heard His name their

entire lives. But knowing about someone and knowing someone

are two entirely different things. You can attend every service,

memorize every scripture, and still have never sat with Him long enough to know the sound of His voice.

This book is an invitation to something more.

It is written for the believer who is hungry whether you are

new to the faith and trying to understand who the Holy Spirit is,

or you have walked with God for years and something in your

spirit is telling you there is still more. It is written for the believer who feels spiritually dry, who has been going through the motions and quietly wondering if this is all there is. And it is written for the mature believer who wants to go deeper still to press past what is familiar and enter into the kind of fellowship with God that changes everything.

The book moves in three parts. The first five chapters lay the

foundation: who the Holy Spirit is, His divine nature, His

presence throughout Scripture, and the many ways He functions

in the life of a believer. You cannot walk closely with someone you do not know. So we begin there.

Chapters six and seven move from knowing to walking. Here

you will find practical disciplines not rules to perform, but

pathways to relationship. How do you cultivate daily fellowship

with the Holy Spirit? How do you develop sensitivity to His voice?

How do you begin to live a life that is genuinely led by Him, not just in the big decisions, but in the small ones too? The final chapters show you what that kind of life produces. Fruit. Transformation. Maturity. And ultimately, love because everything the Holy Spirit does in you moves in one direction: conforming you to the image of Christ, in whom dwells the fullness of God and God is love. I want to be honest with you about what this book is not. It is not a theological textbook, though it is grounded in Scripture. It is not a manual of spiritual techniques, though it is deeply practical. It is a conversation. It is one person saying to another: I have experienced something in the presence of the Holy Spirit that I cannot keep to myself. And I believe, with everything in me, that what God has made available to me, He has made available to you. The same Spirit who shifted the atmosphere of a small room and turned simple words from a book into an encounter He is with you right now. Give Him your attention. Give Him your desire. What He will do with that offering is beyond what you can ask or imagine. Come, Holy Spirit
