The prayer of elijah

Elijah is introduced in Scripture as an ordinary man who prayed extraordinary prayers. Across the seasons of his life — the brook, the widow's house, Mount Carmel, the juniper tree, Horeb, and the mantle — a consistent pattern emerges: every major turning point in his life was carried by prayer.

This book follows that same pattern across thirty-five chapters, grouped into seven parts that trace both the narrative of Elijah's life and the practical needs of everyday believers — provision, breakthrough, healing, protection, family, and consecration.

Each chapter opens with a key scripture, followed by a short exaltation — a brief teaching drawn from that portion of Elijah's story — and closes with at least fifty prayer points. These are meant to be prayed aloud, slowly, with faith, not merely read.

You do not need to complete the whole book in one sitting. Many readers work through one chapter a day, allowing each theme to shape a season of focused prayer. However you use it, come to each chapter the way Elijah came to Carmel — expecting God to answer by fire.
