It is human to hurt.
Life becomes so tangled and heavy at times that it wounds us simply to be human. A promising young woman may be violated by the father who should have protected her. A son may grow up wearing shame as the only covering he owns. Pain takes many forms, but its deepest wounds are often carried in silence.
Yet it is in those very places where we hurt most that God chooses to draw nearest.
He does not wait for the trauma to lift or the tears to dry. He enters the dark corners where no one else comes. He sits beside the soul others have broken. He shares the weight of wounds no one else sees.
Your pain is not foreign to Him.
Your story is not too dark for Him.
Your memories are not too heavy for Him.
Where you hurt deeply, He meets you deeply.
Where you break, He draws close.
Where life has shamed you, He covers you with Himself.
He knows your pain because He lived your life.
And He walks with you still.
