Academic Consultation

Your counselor will be Amarachi Okereke. A Guidance Counselor, a member of CASSON with 5 years of Counselling experience. She has a BSc in Mass Communication, Professional Diploma in Education, Masters in Guidance and Counselling,a certified master mentor and relationship coach.

She may refer you to another counselor if need be.

We provide therapy, counseling, speaking on issues that bother academic performance, study habits and techniques, time management, career choices, and academic-life balance.

One thing we believe in is that for change to occur or a case resolved, the person or parties involved must first accept that something is wrong and be willing to put in effort for it to be resolved or managed.

Consequently we do not promise to cure or solve a clients issue. We promise to give professional counsel and help to enable the client deal with his or her life issues effectively. Success in this counselling or therapy depends on the clients openness and active participation. Please note that we do not treat, prescribe for, or diagnose any medical, mental, or other health condition.

Note that a consultation session is 1 hour. An increase in time would attract extra fee but you could book for two sessions at a go at a discount of 30%. Therapy/Counselling programmes have no fixed charges as the nature of work required and the duration determines the fee. However, all services start with the Consultation Session. The consultation session covers listening to you, investigations (using assessment tests and tools) and proffering solution/counselling.

Refunds of fees already paid: Cancellation have to be made 48 hours before scheduled appointment unless it is an emergency. The client is only entitled to a 70% refund if cancellation is made later than 48 hours. And there are no refunds if you fail to show up for your session without a prior notice to reschedule or cancel.
