Mastering Your Craft

This book was inspired by the need to help youths across different national, social, cultural, ethnic, geographical, and the continental divide to solve the challenge of maximizing their talents for enterprise development and financial breakthrough. However, it is not limited in scope to the youth alone because other people can also gain useful insights for the same purpose.

‘Mastering your Craft’ is written to help the youth to learn and apply timeless principles applicable to their lives from a biblical perspective. The principles and business ideas discussed in this book are purely from a biblical perspective and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

The principles outlined in this book are gleaned from the account of the lives of Jacob and Joseph who can be compared to modern-day entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs. An intrapreneur is a person who behaves like an entrepreneur while being employed or engaged under the authority of another person or organized setup (www.ideate.co.za). The intrapreneur is usually motivated, creative, and able to think outside the box just like a typical entrepreneur. An entrepreneur on the other hand, according to businessdictionary.com is someone who exercises initiative by organizing a venture to take benefit of an opportunity and decides what, how, and how much of a good or service will be produced. The entrepreneur is usually a sole proprietor, a partner, or the one who owns the majority of shares in an incorporated venture.

It is my sincere belief that by reading, digesting, pondering, and applying the spiritual principles documented in this book, you will be able to identify, hone and master your gifts, talents, and skills in a sought-after marketplace enterprise. It should be noted here that while the concept of wealth, success, and fulfillment in life has given several interpretations by many, there is a connection between them.
