ARCHAEOLOGY AND THE CHAPTERS OF THE BIBLE

This book was written out of a concern that many Christians either neglect archaeology or misunderstand its purpose. Some avoid it entirely, fearing that it may challenge their faith, while others expect it to provide scientific proof for every detail of Scripture. Both approaches miss the true value of archaeology.

Archaeology is not an enemy of faith, nor is it a replacement for it. It is a tool that helps us understand the background of the Bible. It sheds light on the cultures, practices, and environments in which biblical events took place. When properly used, archaeology serves Scripture by helping us read it more accurately and appreciate it more deeply.
