A RESPONSIBLE MAN

“Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me forever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed”. 1 Sam. 2:30 (KJV)

The above was the aftermath of Eli’s negligence to his role and responsibilities over his family. God is not a waster, he wants to see the man He created in His image (Gen. 1:26) succeed, that is why he quickly released his blessings on him as soon as he created man.

However, the devil came in a very subtle way to deceive man. And the strategy he used was to confuse man on his role and responsibility. The devil succeeded over “the man – Adam”, he succeeded on Prophet Eli and he should not succeed over you. I pray for you every effort over your Life, Marriage and family will be wasted in Jesus Name. Amen.

As we can see through the life of Prophet Eli, he did not suffer the consequences alone; the entire family even the unborn generation followed him to suffer it. God never intended this kind of trouble for you and your family. That is why He has your roles and responsibilities well spelt out in Ephesians 5:25-33 in relation to the way Christ is to the church.

The word Responsibility according to the Oxford advanced learners dictionary means a duty to deal with or take care of somebody, so that you may be blamed if something goes wrong. This shows that things can go wrong when a man fails to perform his responsibility.

Our attention is focused on what a man needs to know and learn to do as he prepares for marriage or things he should have known before getting married, for those who got married without adequate knowledge.

The book “THE RESPONSIBILITY OF MAN” is divided into two major parts. The first part has to do with the responsibility of man as a husband, while the second part is focused on the responsibility of a father. There are several overlaps in their roles and responsibilities, yet there are still so many things that differentiate the roles and responsibilities of a man as a husband from a father.
