Product Update: Drive More Sales with Bank Transfer Checkout and Abandoned Cart VBA

Here’s What’s New
Bank Transfer at Checkout
Being able to complete transactions easily is just as important as any other part of the sales process where digital products are concerned. So, we included a bank transfer option right on the checkout side screen.
Customers can still go ahead and explore all our other payment options. But, if they want to, they can simply “Pay via Bank Transfer” right after clicking a product on your store and hit “I’ve Sent the Money” after paying.
Once the transfer is made and payment confirmed:
- The sale is completed for you
- The product is unlocked for the customer
- Both you and the customer receive confirmation emails with receipts.
Abandoned Cart VBA (Virtual Bank Account)
We’ve always recognized the need to remind people to complete their purchases when they abandon the transaction for various reasons.
The difference is that this time, we took it one step further.
Instead of simply sending the usual automated abandoned cart email, we now include a unique virtual bank account that they can pay into right from their abandoned cart email.
This account number is valid for six hours after cart abandonment, giving your customers plenty of time to send the exact amount needed to complete their purchase.
Once the transfer is made and payment confirmed:
- The sale is completed for you
- The product is unlocked for the customer
- Both you and the customer receive confirmation emails with receipts.
The best part? Customers don’t need to revisit the website or click any links. All friction and barriers to payment are taken out, making conversion a breeze.
Why We Built This
Multiple things drive a customer’s “purchase indecision.” Sometimes, the payment process is too complex. Sometimes, they’re just about to pay but something goes wrong or they get distracted.
Our two new features offer specific benefits to you:
- Customers will now face even less friction at checkout, as they’ll be able to pay faster without needing to load any more pages than is absolutely necessary.

How to Use these Features
Bank Transfer at Checkout
There’s no extra set up required on your end. When a customer wants to buy a product from your Selar store, they’ll see the option on a side screen to pay via bank transfer or cards. They can choose what works for them and complete the transaction in no time.

Abandoned Cart VBA
Similarly, there’s no extra setup or effort required on your end. If someone abandons their cart, Selar will automatically handle the follow-up email and payment flow.
