{"id":5430,"date":"2023-05-17T09:29:49","date_gmt":"2023-05-17T08:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/selar.co\/blog\/?p=5430"},"modified":"2023-05-17T09:29:50","modified_gmt":"2023-05-17T08:29:50","slug":"prohibited-businesses-on-selar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/selar.com\/blog\/prohibited-businesses-on-selar\/","title":{"rendered":"Prohibited and Restricted Businesses on Selar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Creators worldwide trust Selar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, due to government regulations, there are a few business types we are not able to serve at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selar shall not solicit or sign agreements with merchants (i) in any of the following categories\/businesses, or (ii) engaging in any of the following activities as may be updated by Selar in its sole discretion from time to time as they are Prohibited by our payment processors and\/or the Card Brand rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Age Restricted Products or Services.<\/li><li>Bail Bond Services or Bankruptcy Lawyers.<\/li><li>Crowd-Sourced Fundraising.<\/li><li>Dating Services.<\/li><li>NGO \/ Charities.<\/li><li>Money Transfer, Wire Transfers, Money Orders, Transmitters, and Check Cashing including merchants unless registered and licensed as a Money Service Business or Money Transfer Operator.<\/li><li>Payment Facilitators.<\/li><li>Personal Enhancement Products and\/or Nutraceuticals.<\/li><li>Any product, service or activity that is deceptive, unfair, predatory or prohibited by one or more Card Brands.<\/li><li>Any Merchant selling goods or services that represent a violation of any law, statute or regulation.<\/li><li>Any Merchant selling products that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including counterfeit goods or any product or service that infringes on the copyright, trademark or trade secrets of any third party, such as many Cyberlockers.<\/li><li>Any Merchant accepting a card as payment for a dishonored check or for an item deemed uncollectible by another merchant.<\/li><li>Any Merchant that accepts a card at a scrip-dispensing terminal.<\/li><li>Adult entertainment and\/or adult content.<\/li><li>Bestiality.<\/li><li>Brand or Reputational damaging, potential or otherwise, activities including Child Pornography, Escort Services, Mail Order Brides, Occult.<\/li><li>Digital Wallet, Cryptocurrency or Prepaid Companies.<\/li><li>Drug Paraphernalia.<\/li><li>e-Cigarettes.<\/li><li>Firearms and weapons including Ammunition.<\/li><li>Internet\/Mail Order Pharmacies.<\/li><li>Investment or \u201cget rich quick\u201d merchants, businesses or programs.<\/li><li>Marijuana dispensaries and related products or services.<\/li><li>Multi-Level Marketing Businesses.<\/li><li>\u201cNegative option\u201d marketing, renewal, or continuity subscription practices; marketing activities involving low-dollar trails, \u201cpay only for shipping,\u201d and\/or \u201cfree trial\u201d periods after which a credit card is charged periodically and\/or a significantly larger amount.<\/li><li>Pawn Shops.<\/li><li>Pseudo Pharmaceuticals.<\/li><li>Psychics and \u201coccult\u201d businesses.<\/li><li>Quasi-Cash or Stored Value.<\/li><li>Substances designed to mimic illegal drugs.<\/li><li>Transacting Virtual Currency or credits that can be monetized, re-sold or converted to physical or digital goods or services or otherwise exit the virtual world.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please consult Selar at (hello@selar.co) if you have any questions about the correct integration for your business. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Creators worldwide trust Selar.
