ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Ekene Ohabughiro. I am the co-founder of BYPORK; a social agritech startup tackling protein deficiency in Africa. Within months of our launch, we raised (high) $5 figures from some generous investors, farmed over 100 pigs & were featured on several publications including Nigeria 25 Under 25, Africa Under40CEOs & more.
Aside BYPORK, I have worked with over half a dozen brands globally helping them create strategies to enter, position & scale effort in their industries. Until very recently, I was a lead consultant (the first from Africa) with Kuleana Consulting, USA. In my role, I led a group of strategy consultants round the world creating solutions for non-profits & social enterprises globally.
My work has been featured on many platforms including Nigeria 25 Under 25, Africa Under40CEOs, Generalkopho Leadership Program, TedX and more.
ABOUT STARTUP COMMANDMENTS
I have done a few things well in my career as an entrepreneur but I have also failed a lot. These wins & failures are huge lessons. Lessons on things like:
* Building business models.
* Creating unique value propositions.
*Business storytelling.
*Raising funding.
*Hiring.
*Networking & partnerships.
*Marketing & Sales.
* And many more.
...would ideally take dozens of books & many painstaking years to read and to truly start to grasp.
Unfortunately, there's no luxury of time in today's fast moving world and no book that teaches multiple lessons at once. That is what Startup Commandments: 18 Lessons on building a business (my e-book) is changing. The idea is to have a simple guide that the first time entrepreneur can read & understand the core basics in key areas of running a business.
Even more interesting, I also got 15 other entrepreneurs from 6 countries (including Nigeria, Ghana, China, USA, Australia & Tanzania) to join me in the project as Contributors to ensure universality & reliability of these lessons.
If you are 5 years into building your company with $200K raised & staff size of 15+, this book isn't for. This is for the first time/early stage/newbie entrepreneur looking to get off the ground or those looking to start a business soon.
