He has worked extensively in charter operations and spent several years as a flight and ground training instructor, mentoring student pilots from their first solo flights through advanced licence preparation.

Having flown from both major airports and remote bush strips, he brings a practical understanding of aviation as it is actually practiced in the region—not as it is often portrayed. His instructional years exposed him to the real challenges families face: interrupted training, unrealistic expectations, financial strain, and the quiet disappointment that follows poor early decisions.
