An Easter Story 14 Days with Jesus (A Devotional for Children)

One of the greatest burdens on my heart is handing over to my children a legacy of faith. This burden however doesn’t include only my biological children. I find myself lifting up other children around me in prayer, asking the Lord to reveal Himself to them. I have also been privileged to host about 15 children in my home almost every Sunday in House Fellowship for more than 3 years. It was after one our discussions that I decided to create this devotional for them to help them understand the foundation of our faith as believers - the love and sacrifice of Jesus, His death, trial, burial and resurrection.

I have stumbled on videos on social media where children as young as 8 years are questioned by their peers about their faith but are unable to take a stand because they do not know the Lord for themselves. Their faith is not yet grounded and they are easily swayed when asked why they have chosen to be Christians.

The Easter Story 14 Days with Jesus devotional is a guide to help children aged 6-12 study the Bible and understand the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. This is the foundation of our faith as children of God. Jesus died so we can be saved from sin and become children of God.

The devotional also has journal prompts to help the children reflect on the passages they read, as well as fun activities like puzzles, word searches and colouring pages.

As we celebrate Easter, I believe it is important to encourage our children in their personal walk with the Lord using the Easter Story 14 Days with Jesus devotional.
