AN OVERVIEW OF THE EMI DIPLOMA PROGRAM IN SIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION
The Diploma in Sign Language Education provides students with a more advanced understanding of sign language and its application in educational contexts. Our curriculum builds on foundational knowledge of sign language communication, emphasising both theoretical and practical teaching techniques. Students learn to design and deliver sign language lessons, assess students’ language proficiency, and understand the cognitive and developmental aspects of language learning for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. In addition, this program covers the pedagogical approaches and methodologies needed to effectively teach and engage diverse learners in inclusive educational environment
