Ooni Luwo; One Queen, two Kings (Yoruba)

A Yoruba version of Dimeji Sodeke's play translated by Damilola Odunukan. The play celebrates womanism as the playwright recreates the history of the only female monarch to ever sit on the Ife throne. Ooni Luwo is an emotionally purging play, full of humour, suspense and rich in African proverbs.
