Lust, Love and Lost

I chose a purely emotional collection like this because, throughout my life, words have been my sanctuary. They’ve given me the courage to share my thoughts and feelings when nothing else could. Poems, in particular, have offered me those “eureka” moments—the times when I’ve screamed, Yes! This is exactly how I felt! I’ve found joy and solace in discovering that even King Solomon felt the depths of despair as I have. Or in reading David’s heartfelt reflections about God, or Job’s raw and honest cries. Those poetic books of the Bible resonated so deeply because they were achingly real. This collection, comprising about 20 pieces, is my attempt to draw you into my world for a moment—to feel, reflect, and connect. It’s a glimpse into the emotions I’ve carried and the thoughts I’ve lived with. Finally, I’ve included three of my favourite poems from the countless ones I’ve read over the years. These pieces have stayed with me because they stirred something deep within, just as I hope this collection does for you. So, welcome to my world—may you find a piece of yourself in these words.
