I WILL PRAISE GOD was born from a moment of worship in the middle of personal pain. The author's experience of seeing a worship leader continue to worship after a profound personal loss led to a searching question: can we still praise God when our hearts are hurting?

The book answers that question by moving beyond the idea that praise belongs only to joyful church services or favourable circumstances. Praise is presented as a response to the greatness, goodness, faithfulness, holiness, mercy, salvation, and worthiness of God.

The first Part establishes praise as a decision. The next chapters examine why God is worthy and what it means to praise Him with everything within us. The book then explores bodily and congregational expressions of praise, including singing, clapping, shouting, dancing, lifting hands, kneeling, and bowing.

The middle of the book broadens praise into words and life: calling God's names, thanksgiving, testimony, obedience, giving, service, and whole-life worship. The later chapters address praise when the heart is broken, when the believer does not understand, before an expected answer, and after victory.

The final chapter gathers the entire message around Psalm 150:6: “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.” The conclusion returns to the central declaration and calls the reader to continue praising God through changing circumstances, seasons, strength, weakness, laughter, tears, waiting, and victory.

Throughout, the manuscript makes several important distinctions: praise is not denial of pain; praise is not manipulation; worship is not merely outward expression; blessings are not the foundation of God's worthiness; and praise should extend beyond the church service into obedience, work, relationships, resources, service, and daily life.

The book is therefore best positioned as a pastoral devotional on resilient, Christ-centred praise: praise because God is God, because He is worthy, and because Jesus Christ is Lord.
