Every book of the Bible is special guiding light for seasons that correspond to it. God has left a pattern for the 26th year of this century in the 26th book of the Bible. This alignment is not coincidental but meaningful. The book of Ezekiel speaks to times of upheaval, exile, uncertainty, and longing for God’s glory to return. It is a message deeply needed for our generation in 2026.
Ezekiel was called as a prophet during Israel’s exile in Babylon. His ministry was filled with visions of God’s glory, warnings of judgment, and promises of restoration. He was appointed a watchman, tasked to warn the people faithfully whether they listened or not. Through powerful imagery—the valley of dry bones, the river flowing from the temple, the return of God’s glory—Ezekiel proclaimed hope in the midst of despair.
For people in 2026, Ezekiel speaks directly to our times. We live in a world shaken by insecurity, instability, exile-like displacements, and the erosion of values. Yet Ezekiel reminds us that even in exile, God is present. Even when it feels like the glory has departed, His Spirit can return. Even when situations seem like dry bones, He can breathe new life. And even when judgment feels near, His promise of restoration is sure. God’s people should be forward-looking and hopeful in 2026.
The message of Ezekiel is as relevant today as it was in ancient Babylon. Cultures are shifting, faith is tested, people are compelled to move by war, political and economic upheavals, and hope sometimes feels fragile. But God still rules in majesty. His word still speaks with power. He still calls His people to holiness, accountability, and faithfulness. And He still promises renewal and restoration to all who return to Him. Ezekiel shows us that the way to navigate the difficult days we live in is to be guided strictly by God. Let God’s Word be your Light and let His Spirit be your Power.
This weekly devotional guide is designed to lead you through the forty-eight chapters of Ezekiel across the year, with the final four weeks (49-52) bringing light and lessons from the Bible passages corresponding to them. May this journey through Ezekiel open your eyes to God’s glory, awaken your heart to His call, and assure you of His unshakable presence: The Lord is There!
This devotional is not just about reading Scripture but about aligning your life with God’s word for this season. There is an introduction to each seven-week season. Each week you will also find a passage from Ezekiel, a theme, a reflection, a prayer, an action step, and links to my corresponding articles and videos. The aim is not merely to learn but to live the message of Ezekiel in 2026. By the end of the year, you will have encountered the God of glory, holiness, judgment, and restoration—the God who is still present today.
