Expression of Love and Gratitude, Love Letters to the Lover of my Soul

Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us. Imagine being accused and convicted of a crime you actually committed.

You have been found guilty of an offense that you’re not innocent of and your execution date has been fixed.

You’re basically just living now to die. You’re a walking corpse, a dead man walking, a shell of a person.

Then suddenly, you wake up one day to the best news of your life. The judge in charge of your case sends a message that you are discharged and acquitted of the crime.

You are free to go your way. You are no longer going to be put to death. Of course, you are overjoyed and you can’t believe your good fortune.

But before you leave, you ask for what really happened. Why are they letting you go? I mean, how did you go from a condemned convict to a free man all of a sudden?

Then you are told that a man, a stranger who you never knew from anywhere, owned up to the crime you committed and opted to take your place in death. He basically exchanged his life for yours. He gave his life so you may live.

Tell me, what would be your attitude towards this person? How would you feel towards him? Eternally grateful? Forever in love? Devoted? Indebted?

That’s exactly how I feel towards my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ For His unbelievable sacrifice for me on the cross of Calvary. My heart is full of joy, my mouth filled with singing, and my soul overflows with gratitude.

This book is my attempt to express my love and gratitude to the one who loved me while I was yet a sinner.
