Dear Young Missile

The Society keeps preaching its ideals and norms to our little ones right from infancy. The adverts on the television, the jingles on the radio, the clothes produced for wear, the entertainment shows being aired, mostly teach these little ones to live their lives outside God’s plans for them.Meanwhile, we in Christendom often see these children as little ones and more often than not, fail to see or recognise their importance in God’s agenda right from their infant days. We assume they have to be all grown and in their 10s and above, before we start showing them who they are in the light of God’s word. This error was one which even the Disciples of the Lord Jesus made when Parents brought their children to be blessed by the Lord. Yet, God sees Children as missiles and calls them so. He sees them as powerful weapons by which He can fight in the earth and display the victory He already wrought. He sees them as one to whom, just like Samuel, He can tell the coming judgement of a Priest’s household. He sees them as one through whom he can wrought a Nation’s victory just like David did using a stone and a sling! He sees them as a medium through whom He can be publicised, just as the servant girl of the wife of Naaman the Leper. He sees them as one through whom the gospel can be propagated, just as Timothy.
