Lockdown by Kunle Wizeman Ajayi

Lockdown is a bold and expansive collection of poetry that captures the absurdities, struggles, and resilience of life during the Great Lockdown. Written with a distinctively Nigerian voice, Kunle fuses social commentary with global reflections, weaving humor, defiance, and creativity into verses that resonate far beyond borders.

Across five powerful sections, Kunle explores themes of survival, restlessness, and hope in the face of a disrupted world. His poetry is daring, provocative, and deeply honest—challenging cultural assumptions while giving voice to the resilience of everyday people.

Lockdown is more than just a pandemic poetry collection. It is a lasting record of a generation’s defiance, creativity, and determination to find meaning amid chaos.
