BUILDING YOUR MARRIAGE FOR LEGACY

Every house is built by some man! There is no magic to it. Some work must be done, and some effort must be made. You have to build it!! It is important for you to know that ‘as you lay your bed, so you will lie on it’ – similarly, as you build your house, so you will live in it. If it is habitable, then you will enjoy it; however, if it is not, you inevitably have to face the consequences. The Lord promised to make His abode with us, but the question to ask yourself first is ‘can I live in this house that I am building right now?’ ‘Do I like or love what I am building?’ If the answer is ‘no’ and if the house is not comfortable enough for you, it will surely not be comfortable for your partner, your children and then God your Maker, whose desire is to come down to make His abode with you.

The scriptures teach us a strong principle about how we all need to count the cost of any activity we choose to embark upon, make adequate considerations and preparations for it before we begin.

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it — lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.” 

(Luke 14:28-32)

It is my prayer that by the time you finish reading this book, the blueprint of God's own design for your marriage would have been downloaded into your heart with absolute clarity. I pray that the capacity required to build that which the Lord wants will be impacted to you and may the ability to make it a reality be given to you in Jesus’ name.
