In Scripture, labour is not meaningless. It is a pathway to growth and a preparation for reward. To see this clearly, we need to read the Bible the way its first hearers would have heard it: as a people living in covenant with God, struggling, working, weeping, hoping—and learning that their labour was never separate from His promises.
