In the July Edition, the focus was on marriage and divorce (Building a Divorce-Proof Marriage in Nigeria: What the Laws Says). Accordingly, for the month of August, we will be focusing on the real estate industry.

As a former in-house counsel in a real estate organization, a realtor and investor, I have experienced real estate at every touch-point and have come to a conclusion that there is need for more public advocacy especially at the level of the investing public and independent realtors.

The goal of the webinar is to bring together in one space major regulatory/law enforcement bodies exercising oversight over the real estate industry in Nigeria such as the Lagos State Regulatory Authority (LASRERA), the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Nigeria Police, the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Ministry of Physical Planning and Land Bureaus to give Nigerians at home and in the diaspora live answers to burning issues and concerns and remind developers of their statutory obligations, in furtherance of extant laws regulating the industry.

The theme for our August edition is “Doing Real Estate Right in Nigeria: What the Law Says” and we will be having our speakers address the following sub-topics:
