Growing up, I was always the kid doing multiple things at once: participating in music club, dance practice, a math competition with a cowbell, and choir practice at church. I did not do this to show off, but because I genuinely loved experiencing life from all the versions of me. This continued even in college, as I studied chemical engineering. I became curious about business and passionate about social impact, which led me to work with global organisations like the United Nations, Africa No Filter, and Gamoteca.
While I did not have to conform to the world, I have learnt that even if my career journey is non-linear, my value does not have to be unclear. Clarity helps the right people who need your skill set identify you amidst the noise. Let’s be honest, sometimes organisations do not exactly know what they need till they see it. In the same way, we do not discover our power until we see it in action.
