Most marketing events in Lagos have the same problem. Someone stands on a stage and tells a room of 150+ people how they scaled to a million users. Nobody asks the follow-up question because you don't ask follow-up questions in a room of over a hundred people.
Marketers Roundtable is the follow-up question. 40 of us in a room at CcHub for four hours on a Saturday. Chatham House rule, so whatever gets said stays in the room. No slides. No panels. No sponsor pitching you between sessions.
I've been running paid growth at Piggyvest since 2023 and consulting for other brands on the side. The best conversations I've had about this work have always been in small rooms with people also doing it. That's what this is.
Who this is for
Anyone doing marketing work in Nigeria. If you run brand at an FMCG, if you're a growth marketer at a fintech, if you're the one at your agency handling client strategy, if you're a founder still running your own ads, if you're two years in and still figuring things out, come.
The room is deliberately mixed. Some of the sharpest questions I've heard came from associates who hadn't yet learned what they weren't supposed to ask.
How it works
We pick three themes ahead of the day based on what registered attendees say they want to talk about. A facilitator (me) keeps the conversation moving. Everyone contributes. There's no audience.
Lunch is served. Drinks are around all day. You get a gift bag on the way out, and access to a WhatsApp group for the 40 people who were in the room.

About the convener
I'm Ebuka Chidube. I run paid growth at Piggyvest, where the platform's gone from 4.5M to over 6M users in the last three years. Outside of that I run Exodigital, a small performance marketing agency working with fintech, FMCG and consumer brands across Nigeria, the UK and the US. Marketers Roundtable is something I've wanted to convene for a while.
