poorly lit street. He pointed to his apartment on the first floor
of the three-storey house when she stepped out. A frisson of
panic rose in Rose's belly, but she tried her best to keep it
down. “This one that your street is dark, are you guys up to no
good here?” she asked jokingly, in a bid to downplay her fear.
